Peppermint is an herb that is helpful for many conditions
including indigestion, irritable bowel, nausea, congestion,
headaches and body aches. Peppermint and its active
constituent menthol have significant antiviral and
antibacterial activity. Studies support peppermint’s use to
enhance gastric emptying and reduce nausea. It will increase
saliva in the mouth and facilitate healthy digestion.
Mint Breath Spray Concentrate also contains Chlorophyll,
which is known for its deodorizing properties. Chlorophyll
cleanses and detoxifies the digestive tract while promoting
digestion. It is an effective remedy for those with chronic bad
breath or digestive tract odor.
Mint Breath Spray Concentrate can be used for occasional or
chronic bad breath. It will deodorize the breath from
smoking or tobacco use, illness, infection and eating
offending foods such as garlic and onions.
Dosage:
Holding spray nozzle close to the mouth, spray 2-3 times into
the mouth as needed. Spray more frequently when desired.

Indications:
Phyto-Tech™ Moving On encourages healthy bowel
movements and restores tone to weakened bowels. It will
help to increase digestion by increasing digestive enzymes,
improve assimilation, and stimulate elimination to provide
fast and effective relief of constipation and underactive
bowels. The formula increases peristalsis (the wave-like
contraction that pushes contents through the bowel or colon).
Moving On stimulates bile and digestive enzyme production,
which strengthens the gastrointestinal tract. It also enhances
liver function and helps retain moisture in the intestines.
Moving On is a non-cramping, gentle formula.
Cascara is a predictable laxative that increases peristalsis. It
softens the stool by helping it to move out more quickly and
can assist in painful bowel movements.
Yellow Dock stimulates bile production and is often used as a
digestive bitter for those with poor digestion. Increasing bile
output causes peristalsis to increase which helps assist in
normal healthy bowel function. Yellow Dock contains small
amounts of anthraquinone glycosides, which give it mild
laxative effects. Yellow Dock also promotes the absorption of
nutrients by the ileum.
Triphala has been used in the Ayurvedic system of medicine
for thousands of years as a bowel tonic and whole body
rejuvenator. The formula consists of the three fruits: amalaki,
haritaki, and bibhitaki. The combination balances the system
by enhancing digestion, drawing stagnated wastes out of the
intestines, and gently encouraging healthy and complete
elimination.
Similar in action to Yellow Dock, Oregon Grape and Gentian
are bitters that stimulate the liver to produce more bile and
other liver enzymes. They essentially increase liver function
and are indicated for those with constitutional deficiency
patterns in the liver and digestive system. They will increase
fat digestion (by increasing bile) and protein digestion (by
increasing HCl and pepsinogen), and speedup the rate in
which the liver detoxifies the blood as it passes through the
liver.
Licorice increases the hormone aldosterone, which increases
water retention slightly. It will help hydrate and soften dry
stools and acts as a mild laxative. Licorice is soothing to the
digestive tract and is known for healing stomach and
duodenal ulcers.
Ginger will increase digestive enzymes and speed up the
transit time of food that is slow. It essentially increases the fire
of digestion. It has a history of use in foods to help digest and
move them through the digestive tract. It also helps reduce
gas and can help prevent and alleviate nausea.
Contra-indications and Cautions: Pregnancy, Nursing; Colitis,
inflammatory bowel, irritable bowel. It is not advisable to use
stimulant laxatives regularly over a long period of time follow

t's thought that antioxidants slow the aging
effects of oxidation on the skin. With age,
the skin sheds more cells, has increases in
microbial organisms, and less lubricating
lipids.
This study looked at the effect of the fat
soluble antioxidant, astaxanthin, on the skin.
Thirty-one men and women, aged 40 or
older, took 4 mg of astaxanthin per day. After
four weeks, a marker for oxidative stress,
malondialdehyde, was measured, and found
to be lower by 21.7 percent.
Analyzing the skin, doctors found less
shedding and lower microbial presence.
There was also a significant increase in lipid
droplet size, indicating more supple,
hydrated, and youthful skin.
Doctors explained the skin is lipidic (oily) in
nature, and that lipids provide an important
barrier function. The study findings support
their theory that a lipid-soluble antioxidant,
taken orally, such as astaxanthin would
provide protective and restorative effects.

topic dermatitis, the most common form
of eczema, is a defect in the skin immune
system that causes severe itching, scaling, and
surface loss of the skin.
In this study, 50 children and young adults,
aged 4 to 17 with moderate atopic dermatitis,
took a placebo or a probiotic containing B.
lactis, B. longum, and L. casei, while
continuing to use topical corticosteroids for
skin flare-ups.
After 12 weeks, those taking probiotics saw
an 83 percent reduction in symptoms
compared to 24 percent for placebo. Also,
those on probiotics reduced by 29 percent
the number of days requiring topical
corticosteroids to treat skin flare-ups.
Commenting on the findings, doctors said
probiotics could be used more widely in
clinical practice to treat atopic dermatitis.
