tions. The theory behind using Phyto-Tech™ Cleanse Complex is
that it will result in blood and tissue cleansing through stimulating
the organs that do this innately, including the liver, urinary tract, skin,
lymph and bowels.
Herbs do not really actually cleanse the blood and tissues directly,
but instead, stimulate the organs to increase the rate in which they
do this naturally. Phyto-Tech™ Cleanse Complex will help in the
elimination of cellular metabolic waste, dietary toxemia and environ-
mental toxins. It is indicated for internally and externally generated
toxins. Detoxification is thought to help stimulate organs that elimi-
nate the toxemia from drug usage. It can be used in smaller more
moderate doses if a slower cleanse is desired. Faster cleanses can
result in more uncomfortable acute healing symptoms that might not
be desired, but are usually harmless (i.e., loose stool, nausea,
headaches, skin discharges). These symptoms can be avoided by
decreasing the dose or pace.
Phyto-Tech™ Cleanse Complex works best in conjunction with
other cleansing protocols, such as dietary changes, increasing water
consumption and exercise.

Comfrey Root 1:3
Comfrey has been used for centuries as a way to promote
healing.
Comfrey is used for burns, surgery, cuts, ulcerations in the gas-
trointestinal tract (ulcers, ulcerations, bowel surgery), breaks and
fractures to bones, for poorly healing bones, and for osteoporosis.
Comfrey was so widely used by herbalists to promote more rapid
repair of broken bones, it earned the common names boneset and
knitbone.
Comfrey is the preeminent herb to promote healing of tissue rang-
ing from skin, soft tissue, broken bones, fractures and it promotes
calcium re-uptake into the bones.
Controversy surrounds Comfrey because of its’ content of
pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PA). This potentially liver toxic substance is in
minimal concentration in this dry plant extract (it is higher in fresh
plant Comfrey) It is for short-term use (up to 2 months) and does not
normally present a problem unless liver pathology exists (see con-
traindications below).

(Symphytum officinale), Grain Alcohol, Deionized Water. Certified

Cranberry 4:1
Cranberry 4:1
Cranberry is widely used to prevent urinary tract infections.
Each 400 mg veggie cap contains the equivalent of 1600 mg of
raw Berry.
Cranberry is widely used to prevent urinary tract infections, and
has been used for this purpose for many years. There is research that
supports this, although they may not be perfect. The key thing to
note, however, is that the evidence supporting cranberry's ability to
"prevent" UTI is much more convincing that any evidence supporting
its ability to "treat" UTI's.
For treatment, it can be used as an adjunct to other therapy, but it
may not be wise to rely on it as the main agent.
In the past, it was thought to work by acidifying the urine, but
now we know that there is a substance, a proanthocyanadin, the
prevents the adhesion of bacteria to the cells lining the urinary tract.
There is another caution regarding cranberry juice. Some women
make the mistake of going out an buying cranberry juice, rather than
using a cranberry extract. The problem with the juice is that it has a
high sugar content. Thus, the benefit of using a supplement where
the active constituents of cranberry are concentrated, leaving the
sugar behind. PhytoTech Cranberry 4:1 is ideal for this purpose.
Dose: One to two Capsules daily, or as directed. Drink plenty of
water.

Calcium, Vitamin D and Fracture
Doctors have long recommended taking
calcium with vitamin D to help prevent
osteoporosis, but evidence that these
supplements may reduce fracture is
inconsistent. In this analysis of eight studies
conducted between 2011 and 2015,
covering 30,970 men and women,
researchers found those who took calcium
and vitamin D supplements were 15 percent
less likely to experience any kind of bone
fracture compared to those who did not take
calcium and vitamin D supplements.
Doctors also found those who took calcium
with vitamin D were 30 percent less likely to
have a hip fracture compared to men and
women who didn’t take calcium and vitamin
D. Doctors said the findings support using
calcium and vitamin D supplements to
reduce chances of fracture in both
independently living middle-aged and older
people, and those living in caregiving
institutions.

Vitamin E may preserve bone mineral
density in women
Doctors in this study measured the diets of
3,203 adult men and women and compared
whole-body bone mineral density (BMD),
and bone mineral density of the lumbar
spine, hip, leg, and thigh. While there was no
benefit in men, women with the highest
circulating vitamin levels had the greatest
bone mineral density in these areas.
Discussing the findings, doctors said oxidative
stress may play a role in osteoporosis, and
that postmenopausal women with lower
estrogen levels often have more oxidative
stress. The antioxidant properties in
vitamin E may provide its bone density
benefit, by helping balance the flow of
calcium into and out of bones.
