It contains key polyphenols such as eugenol, ursolic acid and rosmarinic acid that fight inflammation, inhibit production of COX-2 enzymes, and act as strong antioxidants to fight free radicals and protect cells from oxidative damage. It is rich in polyphenols, particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). Peer-reviewed scientific research has shown that EGCG is a potent antioxidant that deactivates health damaging free radicals. Rosmarinic Acid, naturally found in Rosemary, is a polyphenolic compound with strong antioxidant capabilities. Boswellia has been used for centuries to treat various types of chronic inflammatory diseases.
