Throat Spray can be used as a preventive measure, i.e.

eople with elevated - but not yet high -
blood pressure have readings between
120 and 139 mmHg systolic, or 80 and 89
mmHg diastolic, a condition called
prehypertension. Earlier studies had found
taurine successfully reduced high blood
pressure in animals.
In this study, 51 men and 69 women,
average age 57, with prehypertension took
1,600 mg of taurine per day, or a placebo.
After 12 weeks, average systolic blood
pressure had declined by 7.2 mmHg for those
taking taurine compared to 2.6 mmHg for
placebo.
Because some people get nervous in a
doctor’s office, driving up blood pressure
readings, doctors also measured ambulatory
blood pressure, meaning taking
measurements at regular intervals outside the
doctor’s office. Average ambulatory systolic
blood pressure declined by 3.8 mmHg for
taurine compared to 0.3 mmHg for placebo.
