Licorice helps a stressed adrenal gland maintain its’
production of adrenaline, cortisone and aldosterone,
the hormones normally secreted by the adrenal gland.
Aldosterone affects the body’s ability to hold more
water, and maintains normal hydration. Licorice also
increases cortisol levels, thus helping to reduce inflam-
